Are you a Paralegal looking for your next opportunity? Look no further! A global leading engineering organisation for the design, construction and operation of innovative, sustainable onshore and offshore plants and infrastructure is seeking a Paralegal to work on a permanent staff basis in Kingston-Upon-Thames.

This critical role involves supporting legal functions across multiple jurisdictions, providing expert advice to various Business Lines and Operating Companies, and ensuring adherence to company policies and applicable laws.


Key Responsibilities: Paralegal

- Monitor and analyse legal developments in the UK, APAC, and North America to deliver timely and relevant legal advice.

- Conduct comprehensive legal research on specific issues as requested by internal stakeholders.

- Assist in managing litigation cases, including document review, preparation of legal briefs, and coordination with external counsel.

- Track and report litigation progress to relevant parties.

- Contribute to developing strategies for resolving disputes effectively and cost-efficiently.

- Maintain and update the legal department’s documentation system on shared drives and archives.

- Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of emails, correspondence, memos, legal advice, and other pertinent documents.

- Implement and enhance knowledge management systems to improve the accessibility and usability of legal information.

- Maintain comprehensive records regarding the selection, engagement, and payment of external counsel.

- Assist with compliance initiatives related to company policies, industry regulations, and local laws.


Key Requirements: Paralegal

- Minimum of 4 years of post-qualification experience (PQE), preferably in a corporate or law firm setting with exposure to international matters.

- Exceptional legal research and analytical abilities.

- Superior written and verbal communication skills.

- Proficiency in legal document management and knowledge management systems.

- Meticulous attention to detail.

- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

- Business-level proficiency in a foreign language (French, German, Norwegian, or Chinese) is an added advantage.
